Ryan Forde has over 12 years’ experience in Tourism & Hospitality Management, across various management roles and training programs, executing numerous revenue earning projects alongside other senior directors from regional teams.
He is an avid believer that everyone has a part to play in making the world a better place. As a former National athlete in Swimming and Water Polo and through his volunteerism as a Water Polo coach, he shares his passion for the growth of Barbados and the wider Caribbean with the younger generation, not only in the Tourism Industry and sport but through various entrepreneurial initiatives.
Ryan holds a Master’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality from EADA Business School (Barcelona, Spain) and a Bachelor’s Degree with honors from the Barcelona Business School (UIBS) in International Business with a minor in Tourism Management. He is honored to be the first Barbadian to be accepted and having graduated from the Elevator Management Trainee program for Hilton Worldwide. With this
experience, he was trained as a Manager across multiple brand hotels and departments within Hilton, throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Ryan is also the first person to accomplish having fully booked out the Hilton Barbados Resort (355 rooms and event spaces) since its opening in 1966.
Having a proven track record of successfully delivering on significant marketing projects, sales initiatives and with a “if you don’t take a risk, you never have a chance to begin with” mindset, Ryan is up for the challenge of being one of, if not the youngest CEO to join the thriving BHTA team. His main mission is to work towards the continuous improvement, growth and success of the Barbados Tourism Industry.
