Barry Brown is an advertising and publishing professional who has been connected to the Region and the islands of the Atlantic/Caribbean for over 25 years. Barry began his career in advertising creating award winning campaigns for Bermuda Tourism, Fairmont Hotels, IBM, Heinz, Amtrak and many others. He transitioned to publishing when he joined Travel + Leisure magazine, where he also helped launch both Travel + Leisure Family and Golf brands. Barry has also worked at both Robb Report and Wall Street Journal, continuing his focus on luxury marketing
He is a long time member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization Board of Directors. Barry has also prioritized the education of the next generation of tourism leaders, and worked with the CTO to develop the Caribbean Youth Congress, now celebrating over 25 years. Barry joined AFAR Media in 2010 – the experiential luxury brand that explores destinations and travel through the insights of locals. Barry works with many destinations and partners across the Region and is proud to help drive Tourism to the Caribbean.
